Millenium and Nine Masters Tasting Series
Join us for a series of tastings featuring “The Masters” of wine and spirits
as chosen by one of America’s foremost wine and spirits authorities,
F. Paul Pacult, editor of The Spirit Journal.

Tuesday, February 24, 7:00 p.m.

Domestic Pinot Noir Champions

America is producing many of the world’s greatest pinot noirs at the present time. This special event will highlight the best and most select small producer, estate-grown pinot noirs from the finest properties in California (Carneros, Russian River Valley, Santa Lucia Highlands) and Oregon (Yamill, Willamette Valley). A red wine lover’s “must attend” classic tasting.

Thursday, March 26, 7:00 p.m.
A Reprise: Finest Ports & Artisanal Chocolates

In the spring of 2007, we held the inaugural tasting of Port & Choclate to rave reviews. These two sensory delights match up as gracefully and deliciously as any wine and food pairing that we can think of. This second tasting session will further enhance this decadent coupling.

Tuesday, April 28, 7:00 p.m.
The Whiskey World’s Most Sizzling Craze:
American Straight Rye Whiskey

Rye whiskey was America’s first great whiskey. After a century of obscurity, whiskeys made from at least 51% rye are all the rage as American whiskey lovers harken back to an era when whiskey was bold, flavorful and spicy. Paul will also demonstrate how to make the perfect Sazerac cocktail. An evening which whiskey lovers will never forget.

Thursday, May 21, 7:00 p.m.
Authentic Sherry from Spain & Spanish Cheeses

The world’s greatest food wine hails from the province of Andalucia in the south of Spain. There, a luscious fortified wine known as sherry/xeres/sherrish has been the hallmark product of this historically rich and agriculturally blessed region. The names roll off the tongue: manzanilla (dry, salty), fino (yeasty, doughy), amontillado (nutty, dry), oloroso (dry, raisiny), Pedro Ximenez (pruny, powerful), palo cortado (the rarest of all). Matched up with Spanish cheeses, Sherry comes alive and dispels many of the old misconceptions (“grandma’s tipple”) about Sherry.

Wednesday, June 17, 7:00 p.m.
Ultra-Premium Rums/Rhums from around the World

Rum without doubt offers spirit aficionados the broadest spectrum of aromas, styles, and flavors of any major spirit category. From the lithe rums of Puerto Rico. Bermuda and Central America to the intensely flavorful Rhum agricoles of Martinique to the stately, brandy-like gems of Jamaica and Barbados, rum is a stunningly diverse universe. This event takes the group on a breathtaking worldwide tour that delves deeply into the mysteries of rum.
